Tamohi: we can only know the main square. In this building there is a building with a huge and very long platform, aside a circle on the floor. Both seem ceremonial centers for rituals, and in front there is a small temple that preserves engravings of symbols and human figures. Where paint colors can be perceived in the stone.

Tamtoc: it is an area of ​​about 210 hectares. It is located on the banks of river Tampaón right side , part of the hydraulic system of the Panuco River.

-------> Its arquitecture is divided into:

  • East structure- is also referred to as " Step Bayo " or " Tamtoque " has a height of 21 meters. The elevated structures like this , commonly used as a basis for temples of great importance, from which several related to the measurement of time and the movement of the heavenly bodies headed rituals . This structure is the second highest in the site and marks the eastern boundary of the historic area .

  • Main square- comprised of 23 architectural structures, of which 18 are around a square and five in the middle, all associated with administrative and religious activities. The square has at least two construction seasons , the first occurred between 600 and 900 d. C. represented by circular structures, most of these were covered by more recent structures. The buildings that are seen today correspond to the last time that took place between 900 and 1350 a.C., when the city reached its maximum height

  • Northeast square-This group consists of 10 mounds , nine of which surround a square and you're somewhat separate north. This set is associated with housing functions and the production of textiles.

  • North set- composed of various structures and known for the discovery of several monuments such as the Tombstone of flamingos , The Giant , Stela Castrillon, Tamtoc Venus , and the Megalith of the priestess. In this place there are springs that , through a system of ancient canals , distributing water to different parts of the sector leading to the Laguna de los Patos.
